BigLever Expands Operations; Appoints Senior-Level Staff to Meet Growing Demand for Product Line Engineering Solutions
AUSTIN, Texas – Sept. 22, 2014 – BigLever Software, the leading provider of product line engineering (PLE) solutions, announced today the appointment of John Carrillo to general sales executive and Oliver Erber to director of professional services. The senior-level appointments enable the company to expand its operations and meet growing demand for its PLE solution. BigLever's new generation PLE technology and methods are fueling the widespread adoption of PLE across a spectrum of industries – including aerospace and defense, automotive, aviation systems, alternative energy, e-commerce, computer systems, industrial systems, telecommunications, semiconductors, and document management – and impacting the fundamentals of how companies design, develop, deliver and compete with their product lines.

Carrillo, based in Long Beach, Calif., is responsible for revenue growth for BigLever. He brings more than 20 years of experience in defining and implementing successful sales strategies for leading companies in software-based systems manufacturing and commercial IT industries. Prior to BigLever, he held a variety of executive level sales and strategist positions at Serena Software, IBM Rational Software, and Telelogic. In his previous roles, Carrillo defined value-based solution selling methodologies that increased company revenues and enabled customers to achieve key business goals. Carillo's expertise includes expanding sales into emerging markets, establishing strategic business partnerships, building and mentoring sales teams of all sizes, defining sales development processes, and maximizing the performance of field sales. He holds advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and Sociology from Loyola Marymount University and California State University at Long Beach.
Based in Miami Springs, Fla., Erber is responsible for managing BigLever's customer service engagements, including solution pathfinding, technical leadership mentoring, and practitioner training. He brings more than 17 years of experience in systems and software development in services delivery roles, as both a services manager and practitioner. Previously, Erber worked at IBM, managing the services team that supported customer deployments of IBM Rational's systems and software development solutions in the systems and IT domains. Erber, who joined IBM as part of the Telelogic acquisition, previously was a consultant for modeling and implementing real-time embedded applications and a services manager for requirements engineering and visual modeling solutions at Telelogic. He began his career as a consultant at Telelogic GmbH in Germany before joining Telelogic in the U.S. Erber holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree, which is equivalent to master's degree, in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Information Technology, from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
