BigLever Software to Spotlight the Latest Advances in Second Generation Product Line Engineering at IBM Innovate 2013
AUSTIN, Texas – June 3, 2013 – BigLever Software™, the leading provider of systems and software product line engineering (PLE) solutions, announced today that Dr. Charles Krueger, the company's CEO and Dr. Paul Clements, Vice President of Customer Success, will present sessions spotlighting the latest advances in Second Generation Product Line Engineering (2GPLE) at the IBM Innovate conference in Orlando, Florida, on June 2 - 6, 2013.
Dr. Krueger will team with IBM to co-present a PLE overview session focused on approaches for engineering, delivering, and managing product lines. This session will explore three levels of PLE challenges and capabilities – basic, intermediate, and advanced. As a strategic IBM partner, BigLever provides the advanced 2GPLE tools and methods for the companies' mutual customers. BigLever's industry-standard Gears PLE Lifecycle Framework delivers the high-end, feature-based product line management capabilities and automated production system needed for advanced PLE implementations.
Dr. Clements' presentation will offer insight into the growing number of successful PLE deployments that are being seen in the aerospace and defense industry. This session will address how A&D organizations are optimizing 2GPLE approaches based on BigLever's Gears solution, integrated with IBM Rational tools, to achieve order-of-magnitude gains in engineering efficiency, time-to-market, product line scalability and quality. These leading-edge PLE implementations are showing major benefits for both defense contractors and the Department of Defense, including Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Navy, and General Dynamics and the U.S. Army.
